Financial Requirements
Yamaha's objective is to ensure long term success for our future business partners. Minimum financial requirements will vary greatly depending on product lines carried, anticipated retail volume and the proposed location. The owning entity or dealer principals must have excellent credit history and must be able to qualify for a credit line with Yamaha Motor Finance suitable to support forecasted new and/or pre-owned unit volumes ($350,000 minimum).
In many cases, the minimum financial requirements will be significantly more than the following example:
- Liquid Working Capital - $150,000
- Interior and Exterior Yamaha Signs - $5,000
- Specialty Tools - $6,500
- Dealer Management System - $30,000 (approximate)
Facility Requirements
Minimum facility requirements ensure that every customer receives a consistent sales and service experience. Like financial requirements, facility requirements will vary greatly depending on business model, expected retail volume and the proposed dealership location.
All dealers must maintain a prominent display of a reasonable representation of the Yamaha Golf-Car product lines carried (units and genuine Yamaha accessories and chemicals) within a retail-friendly showroom. Facilities must also have suitable storage to maintain a reasonable inventory which is adequate to meet anticipated market demand.
Likewise, the service department must be of suitable size to support anticipated service needs, and service personnel must be provided with all special tools and equipment that may be necessary to properly service Yamaha Golf-Car products.
All dealers are required to utilize Yamaha signage, fixtures, focal points, point of purchase materials and lifestyle images as specified by Yamaha Golf-Car Company.
