Yamaha Golf-Car Company Debuts PowerTech AC IRS & AGM Battery Option at 2020 PGA Merchandise Show

Orlando, FL (January 21, 2020) — Yamaha Golf-Car Company will once again be the exclusive golf car manufacturer featured at the 2020 PGA Merchandise Show’s Demo Day. This Tuesday event at Orange County National Golf Center kicks off the PGA Merchandise Show, one of the most important annual events in the golf industry.

PGA Merchandise Show Demo Day

Demo Day is the world’s largest outdoor demo experience, where over a hundred golf equipment companies showcase their newest clubs, golf balls, grips, instructional aids, and more.

At Yamaha Golf Car’s Demo Day display area and test track (located behind tee box #2), the veil will officially be lifted on two new additions to Yamaha’s industry-leading lineup—PowerTech AC Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) and the new Trojan Motive T875-AGM battery option.

PowerTech AC Independent Rear Suspension (IRS)

Beginning April 2020, all Drive2™ PowerTech AC models will now come standard with independent rear suspension (IRS). Players on the course will easily navigate terrain thanks to the IRS’s premium shock absorption. Durability and trusted Yamaha construction, plus a balanced weight on terrain, make for the most stable and comfortable ride experienced in an AC golf car.

Trojan Motive T875-AGM Battery Option

Also, later this year, Motive T875-AGM batteries by Trojan will be available as an option to our standard flooded lead-acid (FLA) batteries. These AGM batteries are protected by a “Life of the Lease” warranty and do not require watering—making maintenance worry free. Motive T875-AGM batteries have a shorter charging time than standard FLA batteries and are manufactured from 98% recyclable materials.

Test rides will be available for Yamaha’s Drive2 golf car product line and competitive products will be available for a side-by-side comparison, as well. The Drive2 line will also be put to work, along with several Yamaha multi-passenger vehicles, as they pick up attendees at various Yamaha shuttle stops and transport them to the Demo Day entrance. In addition, Yamaha will provide all the vehicles used by PGA staff, Reed Exhibition personnel, and various on-site vendors.

PGA Merchandise Show Booth Display

Beginning Wednesday at Orange County Convention Center, Yamaha Golf Car will be showcasing all their latest offerings, including PowerTech AC Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) and the new Trojan Motive T875-AGM battery option, for thousands of PGA & LPGA professionals, golf course owners, and other industry leaders to see.
